Even if we're talking Two-Buck Chuck here . . .

. . . isn't wine still more expensive per gallon than gas?

Well, gasoline *is* a lot more expenseive in England, and there are some truly cheap French wines he might have access to. And here, honestly, one can make alcoholic cider for around $2.50 per gallon if one shops the sales, though at 6% alcohol, it's probably not strong enough to power one's ride, more's the pity.

I wonder if Karl Childers could rig up a vehicle powered by a Briggs & Stratton mower engine, running on biscuits and mustard, mmm hmmm?
